The name Asimico comes from the Greek word “Asimono,” a tradition where, when a baby is born, the family gifts something golden—often a lucky charm—to welcome the child into the world, symbolizing a life filled with prosperity and good fortune.

But, when I walked into Vasiliki’s studio, I instantly felt at ease. She’s created such a cozy, quiet and warm space to create and chat. Her marvellous colourful collection of wool reeled me right in and made me feel like a kid again! So inspiring! And Vasiliki’s patient way of teaching took off any pressure, so I just enjoyed myself! - completely absorbed in making something lovely with my hands and being creative!
